Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo 2017

Over 43,750 visitors from Australia and overseas descended upon the annual construction and heavy machinery expo in Penrith, NSW.

Following its inaugural event last year, the Diesel Dirt & Turf expo has recorded yet another successful show this year with Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia Pty Ltd (HCA) among one of their biggest exhibitors. The expo attracted more than 43,750 adult visitors through its doors over three days.

The national earthmoving equipment expo ran from April 21 to 23, 2017 at the grounds of the Penrith Panthers Club (NSW).

The premier construction event is committed to bringing together the largest range of earthmoving machinery, attachments, Agricultural machinery, trucks and mowing equipment to Western Sydney. This family-friendly show is managed by representatives of the Australian earthmoving equipment industry with the aim to help construction contractors keep up to date with all the latest technologies in the industry.

The event proved a fantastic opportunity for HCA and the Sydney branch to showcase a range of innovative Hitachi products. This year’s exhibit showcased the Hitachi mini excavator range; ZX17U-5, ZX26U-5, ZX33U-5, ZX38U-5, ZX48U-5, ZX55U-5 and ZX65USB-5 along with the ZX290LC-5 mid-sized excavator and ZW140-5 wheel loader.

HCA proved a prominent exhibitor at the show with an impressive stand and machine showcase.

As a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, a donation box for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation was positioned inside the marquee to help raise much needed funds in exchange for a stubby cooler or promotional cap. In total, over $360 was raised over the three consecutive days.

After meeting with possible buyers and creating a number of leads throughout the show, the Sydney sales team envisage they will gain sales from this event.

"Diesel Dirt & Turf was an excellent show for HCA with a huge attraction in numbers and the organisation was well executed and thought out. It was a great opportunity to engage with customers face to face, with a number of genuine sales leads collected during the three day exhibit," said Brennan Garbutt, HCA’s NSW Sales Manager.

Construction Sales Carene Chong interviewed HCA’s NSW Sales Representative Adam Scully on the Hitachi 1.7 tonne mini excavator on show at the expo, the full video can viewed here: Hitachi 1.7 tonne excavator
