New John Deere’s Game Changing M-Series Tracked Harvesters and Tracked Feller Bunchers Now Available in Australia
HCA announced the release of the new John Deere M-Series Tracked Harvesters and Tracked Feller Bunchers in the Australian market.
Backed by over a half-century of experience in the woods the next generation 800M and 900M -Series Tracked Harvester and Tracked Feller Bunchers are changing the game. The new models feature enhancements developed after extensive input from Customer Advocate Groups, resulting in more productive and reliable machines.
The new series features a variety of common boom sets already proven on the 900K-Series. These K2 booms are specifically designed to increase the number of attachment choices to suit a broader range of applications. This field-proven boom design has been developed with thicker plates, and larger pins and bushings to ensure a stronger and more robust boom than ever before.
Other features include high torque swing – standard on harvesters optional on feller bunchers – to provide increased power and boost productivity. With new 800M-Series the customer now has the choice of dedicated track drive which increases tractive effort by up to 45% and enhances the ability to multi-function while tracking. The 800M Series robust levelling system and track options are the same as the 900M which gives greater durability and increased efficiency. The undercarriage is wider and longer to maximise stability in all terrain conditions.
The new Rapid Cycle System (RCS) option combines automated felling-head arm cycling with simple boom control — dramatically reducing operator fatigue while increasing efficiency and productivity. RCS is adaptable to preferences and environments, tailoring to individual skill levels and specific harvesting conditions. The single touch operation engages RCS mode, and with another touch of a button, RCS is turned off. Operator specific settings can also be saved according to individual operator preferences. (Standard on 800M and 800MH series).
Other options include through-nose plumbing to route hoses up and out of harm’s way, extending hose life, increasing uptime and reducing operating costs. Undercarriage-mounted toolbox provides convenient storage for tools, additional saw bars, and other spare parts, minimising trips back to the service truck. Easy access to service components helps ensure daily checks and preventative maintenance gets done on schedule, minimising costly repairs down the road. Reversing fan automatically reverses airflow to clean debris from the cooler cores. Fans runs at preset intervals, or if conditions demand more frequent cleaning, simply press a button to actuate the reversing cycle. Fast, accurate remote diagnosis, rapid service response with the right part the first time, and dealer service are always within easy reach with a JDLink™ subscription.
And let’s not forget the operator who can now sit in a cab which has 17% more room and the floor to ceiling front window expands the cutting view by 44% . Fully adjustable armrests, including mounted keypads, provide fingertip control of all machine functions. The fully adjustable air-cushioned seat with four point harness in levelling models provides exceptional day long comfort for improved productivity.
The John Deere M-Series Tracked Harvesters and Tracked Feller Bunchers have been designed by customers, for customers, resulting in significant improvements in machine performance and reliability. These new models complement the impressive range of John Deere forestry equipment sold and supported nationally by HCA.
