HITACHI READY TO TALK INNOVATION AT AIMEX

Visitors to AIMEX will have the chance to take Hitachi’s EH5000AC-3 rigid dump truck for a virtual spin, with a high tech simulator taking centre stage at the company’s stand.

The truck simulator will be just one of many innovative features of the stand, which is designed to showcase the full breadth of integrated solutions Hitachi and its partners offer the mining industry.

Eric Green from Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia says it is more important than ever for mining customers to partner with suppliers who have the proven capacity to work with them on their business goals.

“We’re excited to be heading back to AIMEX this year to talk with visitors about how our business can support theirs,” Eric says. “Our offering in the mining sector includes not only the best market leading equipment, but also exceptional parts, service and ongoing product support. In April this year, Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) became the exclusive distributor of Wenco International Mining Systems throughout Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea. Wenco delivers world-class fleet management software and hardware to accurately record equipment activity, location, time, production, and possible maintenance information.

“We’re very excited about this partnership, which brings together the products and services of Hitachi Construction Machinery with Wenco's expertise in production optimisation, asset health, safety and systems connectivity for mining operations. Eric says specialists from across the Hitachi Group will be on hand at AIMEX to talk everything from equipment to parts, fleet planning and technology, and ‘pit to port’ solutions.

Visitors to Hitachi’s futuristic stand will not only get the chance to put the EH5000AC-3 rigid dump truck simulator through its paces – there’ll also be a theatre space featuring the brand’s latest innovations, meeting space for visitors to chat with the team, and some fun giveaways.

• Hitachi EH5000AC-3 Rigid Dump Truck Simulator

The EH5000AC-3 Rigid Dump Truck is Hitachi’s largest RDT, with a payload class of 300 tonnes and a reputation for superior hauling capabilities in the surface mining industry. This market-leading machine features advanced drive control systems, a high-powered engine and a strong-structured body.

The simulator will be set up to replicate an RDT plus trailer configuration to give visitors a realistic experience.

• Hitachi Theatre

This high tech and exciting display is the perfect opportunity to see Hitachi gear in action, including the EX8000-6 backhoe excavator. This huge, sophisticated and powerful piece of machinery is Hitachi’s flagship excavator, weighing in at over 800 tonnes, with the ability to load a 300 tonne payload in our Hitachi EH5000AC-3 truck with just four passes. The monstrous EX8000-6 is transported to site by many large floats and semi-trailers and assembled on site with the assistance of large cranes.

Free refreshments and barista coffee will be on offer to visitors to help them refuel for a big day at AIMEX.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) announced it is the sole distributor of Wenco International Mining Systems throughout Australia, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand through CablePrice (NZ) Ltd.

Wenco is one of the worlds’ oldest and largest Mining Fleet Management Systems and has been providing fleet management solutions to the open cut mining industry for over 25 years.
