On Wednesday 23rd July, HCMO held the annual Service Technician Competition – Regional Final in Brisbane, where six of our top techs (four from HCA and two from CablePrice) put their skills to the test in a high-pressure showdown of technical knowledge and troubleshooting.
After one of the closest battles in recent years, we’re proud to announce Sam Langford from CablePrice Christchurch as the overall winner! 🇳🇿💪
Sam will now head to Japan in October to represent HCMO in the global competition. Congratulations Sam — and best of luck on the world stage! 🌏🔧

We’re proud to announce the successful delivery and commissioning of the EX8000-7 BH — our first 800-tonne Hitachi mining excavator delivered to BHP/BMA. This marks a major achievement for the Mackay region and showcases the strength of our cross-team collaboration.
