RJ Vincent & Co (RJV)

From humble beginnings dating back to 1955 RJ Vincent & Co (RJV), a privately owned family company, initially provided bulldozing services in country areas of Western Australia. RJV has since evolved to become one of the most respected and leading civil engineering and mining services contractors in Western Australia with a proud record for “doing things right”. Employing over 160 staff, RJV is an employer of choice that puts the safety and wellbeing of its employees at the forefront of business importance.

The E-Series range of Bell Articulated Dump Trucks is packed with class leading features that delivers production boosting payloads

RJV has enjoyed continuous growth over the past 65 years due to their ‘can do’ attitude and corporate belief that quality and safety should never be compromised. As a company who is strongly committed to innovation, quality assurance and customer satisfaction, RJV has partnered with

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd (HCA), as a likeminded supplier of earthmoving machinery, to assist with their civil, mining and marine infrastructure operations across Western Australia. As the exclusive distributor of Hitachi and Bell equipment in Australia, HCA prides itself on achieving a reputation for exceptional customer satisfaction and machine reliability.

The current range of RJV’s fleet of machinery consists of eighty three machines purchased from HCA over the years and received a recognition award  from HCA in April 2011 for purchasing the 100th Bell B50D articulated dump truck sold in Australia. In August 2020 RJV celebrated their 65th anniversary, in commemoration the company purchased six Bell B45E articulated dump trucks with special decals honouring this great milestone.

continuous growth over the past 65 years

The purchase decision of these tankers is to further prove and expand their tanker fleet in Western Australia’s growing and highly competitive market.

The E-Series range of Bell Articulated Dump Trucks is packed with class leading features that delivers production boosting payloads, lower daily operating costs, superior ride quality for  toughest of conditions and uncompromising safety standards. It’s a class leader in productivity and hence the reason the RJV team are most impressed by, as the fleet of Bell trucks are working double shift proving the reliability of the equipment.

The mining industry in Western Australia is a very important factor attributing to RJV’s growth. RJV Mining Services is one of three business divisions of RJV that is entirely dedicated to the mining sector. RJV Mining Services has built a track record with companies offering a comprehensive range of engineering, civil construction and open pit contract mining services to the resource sector. Mining projects over the years include Roy Hill; Package 3 Landslide Bew, Siberia Open Pit Mining & West Angelas Power Station Bew.

Pleased with HCA’s extensive range of performance driven machinery along with the professionalism of HCA Major Accounts Manager Steve Gunn and Perth’s sales team, the RJV team has placed an order for an additional eleven pieces of equipment. Included in this transaction are two ZW220-5 Hitachi wheel loaders, five Hitachi excavators (ZX360LCH-5, ZX290LC-5 and ZX490LCH-5) and four Bell Water Tankers (2x B2304E and 2 x 2806E).

A new product in the Australian market, Bell designed and manufactured water tankers are fully integrated into the machine’s safety features, ensuring maximum performance, control and uncompromised reliability.  Being 4 x 4 makes the water tankers a perfect combination for Western Australia’s sand and the harshest mining environment.  The first Bell B2304E tanker purchased by RJV is due to be delivered early 2022. The purchase decision of these tankers is to further prove and expand their tanker fleet in Western Australia’s growing and highly competitive market.

The Australian market for water tankers is growing and their demand on mining and construction sites is rising due to their versatile nature making the tankers suitable for numerous applications including mining and construction sites, dust and dirt suppression/control, roadworks and vegetation care, rural and farming applications.

The relationship between RJV and HCA has continued to grow and strengthen over the years as both organisations are technologically driven with fundamental emphasis on the safety of their employees and customers. HCA’s after-sales support is at arm’s reach with five centralised HCA branches across Western Australia and a 24/7 customer support centre. There is no doubt RJV and HCA make an unbeatable match.

36 tonnes of serious digging power.

The Hitachi ZX360LCH-7 has landed with the team at Apex Civil Solutions, ready to get straight to work.

Built for demanding civil projects, the ZX360LCH-7 delivers the performance, durability and operator comfort that crews rely on when productivity matters most.

It’s always great seeing another Hitachi machine join the fleet of a growing civil contractor, and we’re proud to support the Apex team as they continue delivering quality projects across Queensland.

We can’t wait to see this machine in action.

This week we recognised and thanked the incredible women across our business.

From workshops and mine sites to branches and offices, the leadership, capability, energy and perspective they bring every day continues to shape the future of our company.

As Ray Kitic shares in this message, our commitment goes beyond recognition. We remain focused on strengthening the pathways and opportunities that support the growth and success of women across our organisation.
Celebrating International Women’s Day

Today we recognise International Women’s Day and celebrate the contributions of women across our business and the wider construction and mining industries.

From the workshop floor and mine sites to engineering, operations, and leadership, women continue to play an important role in shaping the future of our industry.

At Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia, we’re proud to work alongside talented women across our branches, supporting innovation, capability, and progress every day.

Happy International Women’s Day!
Six years in the Army.
Now a fourth-year apprentice in Toowoomba.

Taleisha didn’t come into the trades the traditional way. After serving in the Army, she began her apprenticeship elsewhere but felt she wasn’t getting the hands-on experience needed to properly build her skills.

That changed when she joined the team.

Today her weeks can include new builds in the workshop, site work at mines, or jobs at local quarries. She works on loaders and mining equipment, services machines, installs pumps and supports major builds — backed by formal OEM training and experienced technicians around her.

Like every apprentice, she has made mistakes. On one job she damaged a seal during installation. She reported it straight away. The team worked through what happened and how to correct it.

That is how competence is built.

Six months ago, she completed her first solo service on a customer machine. It was a small milestone, but an important one — proof of progress and trust earned.

No two days look the same. That is what she values most.

Her focus now is finishing her apprenticeship and continuing her career as a tradesperson long term.

This is what development looks like:

Experience. Accountability. Support.

And technicians who are built to last.
From Trade Assistant to Apprentice Plant Mechanic 👏

At our Wacol branch, Nick is stepping into the next chapter of his journey.

Starting out as a Trade Assistant, Nick has now taken the leap into an Apprentice Plant Mechanic role - bringing hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a clear focus on safety.

For Nick, safety isn’t just a checklist. It’s about looking out for your team, doing the job properly, and making sure everyone goes home the way they arrived.

And he’s just getting started.

Nick is looking forward to getting up close with our mining equipment and continuing to build his skills alongside the team.

The future’s looking solid. 💪
