In a move that promises to enhance Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd (HCA) branch network, HCA introduced a new addition to the valued family’s sub dealer network. With a firm focus on commitment to excellence and a proven track record in the industry, IAM Wollongong (IAM) joined as a strategic partner focused on elevating HCA’s reach in 2022.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone, enabling HCA to continue to strengthen brand reach, enhance service offerings and provide unparalleled solutions to meet the evolving needs of valued customers in the Illawarra and South Coast regions of New South Wales. Situated twenty minutes south of Wollongong, IAM is a family-owned business started by Ray and Carol Collings.
Known as ‘Illawarra’s most experienced construction machinery specialists’ with over thirty years of combined experience. The partnership has not only enabled HCA to tap into an extensive market reach but has also empowered IAM with HCA’s innovative and reliable range of Japanese made earthmoving product offering, resulting in a win-win situation for both parties. In addition to selling new earthmoving machinery, IAM also sell quality focused attachments.
Having sold over one hundred Hitachi machines so far, the ZX17U-5 mini excavator has proven to be the popular choice primarily due to its high performance and confident operation in tight access areas. Followed closely by the ZX55U-5 and ZX85USB-5 excavators with both collectively recognised for their fuel efficiency, operator comfort and ease of operations. Ray Collings stating, “Customers love that the Hitachi excavators are quality made in Japan with power, reliability, manoeuvrability and fuel efficiency in mind.”
HCA introduced the range of Zaxis-7 excavators to the Australian market late 2022, empowering customers to take control of their safety, fleet management, profitability, and comfort. A great deal of anticipation surrounded the new ZX135-7 among customers of IAM with several units already delivered and working with many more currently on order to be delivered shortly. Positioned above industry standard, this model boasts advanced features that amplifies performance and productivity. Its enlarged interior and operator features transform it into the perfect workspace increasing comfort and reducing operator fatigue over its predecessor.
