Employee Liaison & TCS Coordinator – Perth
Describe your current role and the path which led you to it.
I started at Hitachi as a Parts Interpreter, then after taking maternity leave to have my children, I returned to various roles including Parts and Service Administration. I also took on additional internal auditing and safety officer responsibilities to build on my learning experience. More recently, I jumped at the opportunity to take a new position as Employee Liaison & TCS (Total Customer Satisfaction) Coordinator.
In this role I help with on-boarding new employees as well as ensuring customers are happy with our services. I support new employees through their induction process, ensuring they have access to systems, the necessary training and feel welcome and comfortable in their roles. I also provide training to our customers to use the Online Parts ordering system, to offer them more efficiency and satisfaction. I have enjoyed every aspect of my career and appreciate the opportunities which Hitachi offers – there’s never a dull moment.
What attributes have helped you succeed?
I enjoy learning new things and also love what I do. I have built very good relationships and rapport with fellow employees and customers over the years, which has helped me develop and become more confident. My diverse working experience has been beneficial in this new role. I do like a good challenge, both at work and personally. You could say I am a perfectionist and a little competitive.
What do you enjoy about your current role?
I love meeting new people and making them feel welcome. Having been employed by Hitachi for 28 years, I enjoy telling new people about the business and what a great company Hitachi is to work for. My experience also offers them an example of the various career paths and opportunities available.
Have you found your career has provided you a sense of balance and achievement?
Hitachi has been an excellent career choice for me. I was able to return part time after maternity leave and transition back to full time. I am grateful for the work-life balance as well as the different roles – each one has been challenging and interesting to me. I have always been very proud of the work I do.
Have you felt supported and a part of a greater purpose in your role?
Yes, I feel like I am part of Hitachi and have a good understanding of the business. I have a very positive outlook, am innovative and enjoy helping colleagues with advice and problem-solving. Training and support is always available to us. My managers, supervisors and fellow employees are also very supportive.
Do you feel you have a prosperous future at Hitachi?
I am very confident about my future with Hitachi. My advice to someone interested in joining our industry would be to jump at it with both feet. Always look for opportunities and take on studies to improve yourself. Prepare for bigger and better things, show that you’re interested and give it a go.
If I had my time again, I would do it all again. I love my time with Hitachi. It is a great company to work for and I have enjoyed every role I have had throughout the years. I have made many long-time friends and enjoy my work family.

When you`ve spent more than a decade in the industry, you know what good equipment feels like.
Working on stormwater infrastructure at Seaford Heights, Jesse from Tripodi Group puts the Hitachi 25-tonne zero swing excavator through its paces every day. From exceptional stability and impressive power to GPS integration and the added confidence of a zero-tail swing design, it`s built to perform where precision matters most.
Safer. More capable. Japanese reliability. Ready for the job.

45,000 cubic metres of sand. Four basement levels. 10 machines. One serious excavation.
Faced with the challenge of removing 45,000 cubic metres of sand from a four-level basement, RONMAC brought together the right fleet for the job – including a purpose-bought long-reach attachment fitted to a 36-tonne Hitachi excavator to reach the bottom.
Working bucket-to-bucket, the team is progressively moving material from Basement 3 all the way to the surface, where it can be loaded out.
It’s a challenging job that demands the right equipment and the right support.
We’re proud to be working alongside RONMAC and even prouder to hear their team say they’re “looking forward to doing a lot more in the future” with Hitachi.
